When
traveling to Ioannina from Athens
one has to cross 3 kilometers of water by ferry. This is by far the most
unreliable part of the journey. It is IMPOSSIBLE to predict a priori how long
it will take to cross from Rio
to Antirio. A number of things can go wrong. 1) The
weather can be bad so nothing moves. 2) There might be a strike. 3) There might
be a HUGE orderly line of cars waiting to get in (ha, ha, ha orderly line in Greece
what a jokeJ).
However
all this is about to change. There is a BRIDGE under construction. In the near
future all the excitement associated with this crossing will be eliminated.
What a pity !!!
