Since 2023 I am an emeritus professor with the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, University of Patras, Greece.
My research work focuses on various problems in Statistics and Statistical signal processing as Adaptive signal processing algorithms (nowadays under the name of "Machine learning algorithms"), Communication signal processing and Sequential detection (the latter consti­tutes my favorite research area). My recent research is in Statistical machine learning and emphasizes the development of pure data-driven methods for popular problems in Detection and Estimation.
